Team

Our Trusted Professionals

Our team of veterinary professionals is the foundation of Valley Veterinary Hospital. Each member brings compassion, expertise, and a deep love for animals to every appointment. We’re proud to introduce the dedicated people who care for your pets like their own and make our clinic a trusted home for families throughout Phoenixville.

Lindsay Shreiber, VMD

Lindsay Shreiber, VMD received his veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. In addition to his veterinary degree, he holds an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. His mission at Valley Veterinary Hospital is providing the best care to pets and educating owners on excellent healthcare practices. “We celebrate the bond between our clients and their pets,” says Dr. Shreiber. “Helping our dogs, cats, and other patients remain healthy family members is our passion.”

After his undergraduate training and during veterinary school, Dr. Shreiber developed a keen interest in animal behavior which developed into an externship at Wolfpark, a 75-acre facility in Indiana.

Dr. Katie Porter, VMD

Dr. Katie Porter has been part of the Valley Veterinary Hospital family long before officially joining our team. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Porter spent her summer breaks in veterinary school training alongside Dr. Shreiber—learning the hands-on, heartfelt approach to care that defines our practice.

Originally from West Chester, PA, Dr. Porter earned her undergraduate degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from Penn State. Her time at the PennVet Working Dog Center helped shape her passion for cooperative care, behavioral medicine, and the importance of trust between pets and their people. She’s Fear Free Certified and has special interests in preventive care, surgery, behavior, and supporting new pet parents through the early stages of puppy and kitten care.

At home, Dr. Porter is kept company by her rescue dog, Cash, who’s taught her more about patience, connection, and the true strength of the human-animal bond. She’s committed to creating a calm, compassionate environment for every patient—and believes that listening carefully is just as important as diagnosing.

When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Porter enjoys yoga, tending to her growing collection of houseplants, exploring Phoenixville’s neighborhoods and trails, and playing pickleball and golf.

She’s excited to meet you and your pet and looks forward to being part of your care journey.

Morgan studied in the Veterinary Technology program at Harcum College, where she earned her Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology. Her education gave her a strong foundation that she continues to build on through hands-on experience at the clinic.

At home, Morgan’s heart belongs to her two beloved cats: Hannibal, a sweet and chatty 5-year-old orange girl who loves to cuddle, and Dexter, her playful 3-year-old black kitty who thinks he’s a dog—he even plays fetch and always has something to “say!”

Meghan

With a lifelong passion for animals and science, Meghan Joy has been a dedicated part of the Valley Vet team since 2005. When she’s not in the clinic, Meghan enjoys life to the fullest with a variety of hobbies that keep her grounded and energized. From horseback riding and camping to gardening and reading, she finds joy in nature, adventure, and quiet moments alike.

At home, Meghan shares life with her husband, their two children, and a lively crew of pets:

  • MacDady, an energetic Australian Shepherd

When the pandemic shifted her path, Andy returned home to help her parents with their pretzel store—but her love for animals soon brought her back into the veterinary field, where she has thrived ever since.

Although she isn’t currently working with aquatic animals, Andy loves caring for all creatures and has enjoyed every step of her journey in veterinary medicine.

Cas became part of the Valley Veterinary Hospital team in 2021 after moving to Phoenixville from Temple University. Since then, she’s become a valued member of our care team, known for her gentle approach and deep love for rescue pets—especially orange cats and pitties, her personal favorites.

At home, Cas and her partner share their lives with four beloved rescues: two pit bull mixes and two cats. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll often find her sewing and designing clothing, or enjoying peaceful walks in Valley Forge with her mom and their youngest brindle pup, Millie.

For Cas, a great day at work means lots of pittie kisses, orange cat cuddles, and being part of a team that truly loves what they do.

Sammi

Sammi joined Valley Veterinary Hospital in early 2025 and brings the energy of a thousand coffee cups to the front desk every day. After years in the daily grind, she discovered her true calling among the wagging tails and joyful howls at Valley Veterinary Hospital. Mornings at daycare are her absolute favorite—it’s like a canine parade! Dogs bursting through the doors with tails wagging and excited barks filling the air. It’s pure, unfiltered joy every time!

Outside of work, she’s a proud mom of three daughters who love the outdoors just as much as she does. Whether it’s a beach day, staycation or camping weekend, Sammi makes the most of her time with them. When she’s not at work you can find her surrounded by family and friends, on the porch with a bonfire crackling, and nature all around.

Sammi shares her home with Moo, a lovable rescued terrier mix who’s a regular in our daycare, and two young leopard geckos named Echo and Nova. Moo is a fan of long walks, fun tricks, and his favorite show, Bluey—especially the character Muffin. The geckos enjoy mealtime, personal chauffeur rides from Moo and giving kisses (yes, really!).

Sammi brings a smile, a creative mind, and a love for both pets and people to every visit—and she’s always happy to help make your experience at Valley Vet a great one.

Grace

Valley Veterinary Hospital | Team Member Since 2025

As a receptionist, she loves seeing all the animals who come through the doors, whether they’re here for appointments, boarding, or daycare. Each day brings new furry friends, and Grace’s warmth and enthusiasm help make every visit feel special.

A lifelong animal lover, Grace shares her home with two mischievous cats: Kiwi, a gray kitty who always keeps her on her toes, and Noodle, a spunky tuxedo cat with a big personality. Together, they make sure life is never boring!

When she’s not at the clinic, Grace enjoys relaxing with a good book or working on her latest crochet project. She’s passionate about providing a welcoming experience for every pet and pet parent who walks through the doors and is proud to be part of the Valley Veterinary Hospital team.

Susan

Susan joined Valley Veterinary Hospital in October 2021, bringing both creativity and a lifelong passion for animal care to our grooming services. Ever since second grade, she knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field—and today, she finds joy in every grooming session, especially when working with different breeds and learning from unique grooming challenges.

Susan holds a grooming certificate and is trained through Fear Free, AKC SAFE, and Penn Foster, with a four-year background in Animal Science. She takes pride in making pets not only look their best but feel comfortable and cared for during every visit.

At home, Susan shares adventures with Kovu, her outgoing tuxedo cat who loves hitting the trails and meeting friendly faces. When she’s not grooming or exploring with Kovu, she enjoys soaking in the outdoors and expressing her artistic side through film, music videos, and creative projects.

Susan’s calm presence, skilled hands, and love for animals make her a trusted part of the Valley Vet team—helping pets feel their best inside and out.

Kim

Team Member Since 2021

Kim has been working with animals for over 10 years, beginning her career in boarding and daycare before discovering her passion for grooming. She joined the clinic team in 2021 and loves the opportunity to combine her technical skill with her genuine care for pets. For Kim, the best part of her work is helping animals feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

She is highly trained and committed to ongoing learning, having completed the Penn Foster Career School Grooming Program in 2022, earned her AKC Safe Groomer Certification in 2023, and her Fear Free Groomer Certification in 2024. These achievements reflect her dedication to providing a safe, gentle, and positive grooming experience for every pet.

Outside of grooming, Kim enjoys going for walks with her dogs, reading, cooking, and painting. Her home is full of love thanks to her four furry companions: Roxie, her oldest and a beagle/lab mix rescue she’s had since high school; Kitsune, a spirited six-year-old Shiba Inu; Jazzy, a playful German Shepherd/Norwegian Elkhound mix; and Pippin, a curious tabby cat.

Kim looks forward to welcoming pets to the clinic grooming salon and making them feel and look their very best.

Hudson

Hudson is one of the most beloved members of the Valley Veterinary Hospital family. Always ready to brighten your day, he greets everyone with enthusiasm, whether it is a gentle nuzzle, a playful chase, or simply his cheerful presence.

As the official Door Greeter, Hudson takes his role seriously. He makes his daily rounds to check on every department, ensuring that everything is running smoothly and that no treat goes unnoticed. You can often find him walking across reception keyboards, napping in his favorite hammock, playing with his friend Patrick, or exploring cabinets in search of adventure.

When you hear the sound of tiny galloping paws racing down the hallway, there is no question who it is. Hudson is on the move, making sure everyone gets a little extra joy in their day.

Patrick

Patrick proudly serves as the clinic’s “Hospital Security,” although he takes a rather relaxed approach to the job. With his strong personality and independent streak, he prefers to make his own rules. Patrick is known for ignoring his diet, disregarding expectations, and charming everyone who crosses his path.

While he may try to convince you that he runs the hospital, Patrick has a softer side with his favorite people. He is also our clinic’s top seat-stealer, often leaving our team wondering whether we should move him or simply stand while he naps in our chair.

Patrick’s mix of confidence, sass, and sweetness makes him a memorable part of the Valley Veterinary Hospital family. Our clinic would not be the same without him keeping a watchful eye on everything from his favorite seat.

Elsie

You can often find Elsie lounging in the break room, proudly serving as the clinic’s unofficial (but very dedicated) Food and Safety Supervisor. With her soft paws and serious expression, she patrols the halls each day, making sure every treat jar is secure and no lunch is left unguarded.

When she is not on patrol, Elsie enjoys cozy naps on the warm windowsill and giving gentle headbutts to her favorite staff members. Her calm presence, fluffy charm, and quiet confidence help keep morale high and whiskers higher at Valley Veterinary Hospital.

Slugger

Slugger takes his role as Quality Control Supervisor very seriously. With his extra thumbs and enormous green eyes, he makes daily rounds to ensure everything in the clinic is running smoothly. His responsibilities include inspecting employee uniforms, snoozing in supply boxes, and quietly assessing everyone’s organizational skills.

When he is not conducting inspections, Slugger can be found searching for the perfect sunny spot to lounge and supervise from afar. Nothing escapes his sharp eyes or quick paws. If everything meets his very high standards, you might just earn his rare and prestigious “thumbs up.”

Slugger’s combination of curiosity, confidence, and charisma makes him an essential part of the Valley Veterinary Hospital
