Our Community
Valley Veterinary Hospital is an animal hospital that has been serving Phoenixville and the surrounding areas such as Spring city, Pottstown, King of Prussia, Valley Forge, and Malvern since 1996. Our animal hospital features full digital dental radiology, ultrasound, an in-house surgical suite, a complete diagnostics lab, a carefully supervised hospitalization area, and much more. Besides just dog and cat care, we also provide care to exotic pets such as rodents, pocket pets, rabbits, birds, pigs, reptiles, and more. We are located less than 25 minutes from Bridgeport on Valley Forge Rd, in Phoenixville. We look forward to welcoming you into our Valley Vet family.
At Valley Veterinary Hospital, we believe that caring for pets means caring for the people, places, and organizations that make our community strong. Since opening our doors in 1996, we have served Phoenixville, Valley Forge, and surrounding areas with a commitment to exceptional veterinary medicine and a genuine love for animals. Beyond being a hospital, we are proud to be part of a network of families, professionals, and organizations that share our values of care, commitment, and compassion.
Our Historic Building
Our hospital is located in a building full of history, formerly known as the Bull Tavern. In April 2019, we completed a lifelong dream by moving into a fully renovated facility that blends the charm of our historic roots with the innovation of a top-quality veterinary hospital.
More than just an expansion, this project was a way to restore the character of the historic building while creating a modern home for our community’s pets. We lovingly call it “Pet Central” because it has become a hub for everything pets and pet parents need.
Our expanded facility includes:
The new Valley Vet reflects Dr. Shreiber’s mission: to create a place where every pet and every pet parent can feel welcomed, cared for, and supported.
Spotlighting the People Who Inspire Us
Our community is filled with extraordinary people whose efforts deserve to be celebrated. That is why Valley Veterinary Hospital presents monthly spotlights on clients and their contributions.
Local artists, teachers, coaches, volunteers, and community leaders have stories worth celebrating. By sharing their voices, we highlight the wonderful people who make our community stronger and deepen the bond between pets, their families, and all of us here at Valley Vet.
More Than a Hospital….A Community
Valley Veterinary Hospital is more than just a place to bring your pet for medical care. It is a home for people who love animals, a hub for community events, and a partner in animal welfare. Whether we are caring for your pet, mentoring a future veterinarian, or working alongside local rescues, our mission is always the same: Care, Commitment, Compassion.
We are proud of the journey we have taken, grateful for the clients and pets who have been with us along the way, and excited to continue building a strong and compassionate community together.

Partnerships with Rescues and Shelters
Valley Veterinary Hospital has always been deeply committed to animal welfare. We are proud to work closely with respected organizations such as:
Through these partnerships, we provide medical care, support adoption efforts, and advocate for animals in need. Every rescue animal deserves a safe, healthy, and loving home, and we are honored to play a role in making that possible.
Sponsorships & Community Events
Our involvement in the community extends beyond veterinary care. We are proud sponsors/contributors of community events that bring people and pets together for fun, celebration, and a good cause.
Events like these give us the chance to meet neighbors, connect with pet families, and contribute to local animals in need.
Supporting the Next Generation
One of the ways Valley Veterinary Hospital invests in the future of veterinary medicine is by hiring and mentoring young staff members who are pursuing careers as veterinarians. Many of our team members are applying to or already attending veterinary school.
By giving them hands-on experience and guidance, we provide them with the skills and confidence they need to grow. Supporting these future veterinarians allows us to share our passion for animal care and ensure that our values live on in the next generation of doctors and caregivers.
Professional Leadership
Our dedication to veterinary medicine doesn’t stop at the hospital doors. Dr. Shreiber serves as president of the Penn Vet Alumni Board, and a proactive PSPCA board member where he helps guide and support veterinary education. alongside graduating Upenn in 1991, Dr. Shreiber also has a background in engineering which equips him with a unique perspective in veterinary medicine, emphasizing precision and meticulous attention to detail. His analytical approach allows him to diagnose and treat with the same accuracy and problem-solving mindset. His active involvement keeps Valley Vet closely connected with the academic and professional community, ensuring that we remain leaders in providing the very best care.
